Cameron Mott Who Still Alive Only With Half-Brain

Cameron Mott's parents knew something was terribly wrong when their daughter began having seizures, up to 10 a day, at the age of three. After three of years of constant seizures, Cameron's cognitive development was slowing and she was barely talking.

Doctors discovered that she had a rare condition known as Rasmussen's syndome, which causes destruction on one side of the brain. Neurologists at Johns Hopkins University qualified her to undergo a daring and new surgery called a hemispherectomy, in which the damaged half of her brain would be removed.

The "Today Show" interviewed Cameron and her family about her extraordinary journey.
